Welcome to Whimsical Wonderings, and thank you for taking the time to explore our space. Whimsical Wonderings is a Creative Arts Learning Space in Western North Carolina, just north of Asheville. I wanted to take some time to share our vision of Whimsical Wonderings, what we offer, and give some insight into why we believe in Living Creatively.
My name is Amy, and I’m the founder of this space, although I don’t do it alone. We have a wonderful group of creative minds contributing to everything from teaching to brainstorming new ideas. My background is in education, with over 20 years of working with children from infancy through highschool. I hold degrees in Elementary and Early Childhood Education with additional certifications in Gifted Education and English as a Second Language. Somewhere along the way I developed my love of writing and art. As you can see, I’m a bit of a wanderer, which is how we got to where we are today.
Whimsical Wonderings is a space dedicated to the creativity of young and old alike. It is a space where people can come to be educated in a specific area or simply come to create. Its purpose is to inspire creativity in us all, from infancy through retirement. We want to provide a learning space for your children (yes, combining academics with creative arts), be your top choice for celebrating that special occasion, work with your business team by inspiring them to bring creativity to the workplace, and provide you with a muse to get your creative juices flowing.
We are a space that offers music, art, dance, homeschool enrichment, after school programs, private events, date night options, dance parties, workshops, and creative play. An ever-changing array of classes to inspire the entire family to Live Creatively.
We open our doors on Saturday, October 1, 2022 at 1:00 for a Grand Opening Celebration! Join us for music, dancing, drumming, caricature drawings, balloon animals, face painting, and more. At 4:00 there will be a belly dance mini-class, followed by a family dance party, and drum circle at 5! It is a day full of events and fun to celebrate our whimsical, creative lives!
