The Critical Mind is a three day workshop for middle and high school students. It is said that the Critical Mindset is the ability to engage in reflective and independent thinking, requiring you to use your ability to reason. Having a Critical Mindset is when you are a critical learning rather than a passive recipient of information.
This workshop is focused on teaching students how to think, in an effort to give them the tools they need to be engaged in how they dissect the information they take in.
During the course of the three day workshop, students will be introduced to the elements of critical thinking, analyze news stories, dabble in intelligent and thoughtful debate, and participate in activities that encourage analytical news sourcing.
